Step aside, Hannah Montana! Alibi Junior High screams TV series to me. Thirteen year-old Cody Saron, sporting his Armani suit, has grown up with his CIA father -- he's worldy, intelligent, and multi-lingual....and he's never attended a day of school in his life. When life becomes too dangerous for Cody and his father to live together, Cody is sent to live with his aunt Jenny. Now he's about to enter the world of middle school, totally unprepared socially. Cody spends a lot of time in the principal's office because he doesn't know how to treat teachers, as he views himself more on a peer level with them. He gets in trouble for correcting the Gringo-Spanish that his Spanish teacher uses. He gets into even more trouble when he gets picked on in the locker room by 7 boys, and takes them all out single-handedly. This earns respect from the students, though. Soon he has the tough kids wanting him to teach them karate, and other admirers start to dress in ties. Add to this his first crush on a girl, a one-armed neighbor, and a mysterious man stalking his home at night, and you have a book that keeps the pages turning. |
