The illustrations in this book are absolutely gorgeous! Rich, detailed and exotic, the pictures bring you into the world and travels of the explorer, Marco Polo. The text of this book is interesting and well-organized. It chronicles Marco Polo's life, travels and experiences as well as the animals he encountered along the way. Included in the back, is a map of his travels and a glossary of terms from the book. I learned a lot by reading this book and I know our students will enjoy it as well.
