This is a really nice biography about our current president. The book has really nice photographs, simple to the point text and a user friendly layout. The book discusses history being made with Obama's presidential election, his childhood, his college years, law school, being a senator, his presidential campaign, his first 100 days, and a script of his inaugural address. In addition to the basic text, there is his life at a glance, his Cabinet, a time line of his life/world events, more resources on the president, a glossary, a U.S. Presidents list with years in office, and an index. The book has a lot of information, but not enough to overwhelm students. In reading it, I learned a lot of things I did not know (for example-his mother was from Seattle). I can see this would be a really nice presidential series to have in any elementary library.
