This picture book is about two elephants having a surprise birthday party at the zoo where they live. The elephants overhear that there will be surprise and they see balloons and a big box. To solve the mystery, they travel through the zoo asking all the animals if they know what the surprise is all about. No one will tell them so they return to their pen to find a birthday party waiting for them. A simple story, but cute and appealing, especially as it is based on two actual Asian elephants that live at the Little Rock Zoo in Arkansas.
